Thought I'd post a pic from yesterday. Home for the holiday in Lake Lenore, dad and I went out for a few hours xmas eve. Caught a few small walleye before dinner/dark. Will be going out again for a few hours. As usual, fishing for walleye, it was good and steady at 4 pm - 4:30 pm with a fish on pretty much every time the hook went down. Mostly small ones as pictured below. Will post more pics later tonight as this time I will remember to take more pictures before it's too late!

LOL, no. I threw that monster back. We kept 2 other ones though that were abuot 1.5-2lbs each. Christmas day was better. We brought 8 home, and a couple pike. Brutally cold out though and the wind started to pick up. Again it was good from 4-5 with steady bites. 17" of ice if anyone cares, 20 feet of water on a rockey bottom, just after a ridge.

do you ever fish right on the ridge? or on the downward slope? or in the 8-12 ft depth?

Fishing on ridges rarley work for walleye, the only thing you'll find up there are pikes. We always fish on the slope of the ridge. 12-14 feet of water is best in the summer (not winter), but we know they are here year round. Lake lenore is a big lake so stick with what you know. Today we fished on a smaller lake and tried out the new fishtv! Swet invention and even saw my hook and minnow get swallowed a couple times. Forgot the camera but we had some luck. Again, bite was late in afternoon until dark. My friend and I caught three each, these were mine. Pic is a little mis conceiving as the back two were twice the size as the front one. But, had some nice walleye fish fries over xmas, now back to Calgary and fishing for small trout and perch to keep us entertained and taste satisfied.

As for the beer, oops, probably shouldn't post that :) Great Western is what the sask folks really drink, pilsner is only drunk by the posers and the old geezers. The bud was my brother in law's, and he's from Edmonton! :tongue2: Nuff said.
