Watch the video and post your thoughts.

Many here have dogs, and some of us have done polar bear dips.
So I know we will have a split decision.

how is this different then using a lab to retrieve down birds in December. I am a bit offended that this question could even be ask on a hunting forum:thinking-006:

It's not like the guy was trying to harm his dog. It's not like he was pushing his dog into a flowing icy river. It didn't even look like he pushed him ....

The dog came out of the water, shook off, and was wagging his tail and carried on like nothing happened, just another dip in the water.

My Lab would love it ....

Maybe if the pooch couldn't get out of the water, but he looks pretty happy to me. I have a hard time keeping mine out of water so I don't think a lab would be any different. I'm guessing that if a tennis ball rolled or bounced in, that dog wouldn't be far behind.

By just looking at the pictures it looks like he is pushed in but the video the dog clearly jumps as would my dog.

I dunno. Was the guy even the dog's owner? Was the dog terrified or having fun? Can't tell anything from those pictures.

I posted it to you guys to show you that there are some out there that are calling for charges.
I have done polar dips, both intentional and unintentional.

This is a whole lot to do, about absolutely nothing ... shame on CNN!

What is this world coming to?

Those politically correct/vegetarian/tree hugging folks should get a life!!!

I used to hunt diver ducks in November with ice along the shore line all the time. Our dogs could not wait to get in and retrieve the ducks.

Just pathetic what North America is turning into! Thank you Gloria Steinem, you destroyed a great way of life! :(

Just saw the above post after I posted mine. EXACTLY! Guess that will be banned soon.

Beautiful dogs man!

Cowtown's pictures are worth a thousand words.

He did appear to nudge the dog into the water in the video, but I don't think it was cruel. A dick move, sure, but not cruel. The dog was in and out quick, no worse for wear.

I agree, no cruelty there. The reaction doesn't surprise me however. Wasn't there a thread here a while ago where the majority said they would save their dog over a human.

Cowtown, you need to be careful about letting a dog sit his butt down in the snow. He may end up with ..................Polar roids.:sHa_shakeshout:

Did you photo shop that pic? It looks like that dog is chocolate.:) I'm kidding. I'm kidding.

Looks like a beautiful dog!!!:sHa_shakeshout: great pics Thanks.

When you see " furry babies " posted you have found yourself a nut . My dog wants to sit on the back step in cold snowy conditions. Should I feel shame ? Some folks are need to have a drink and chill out.

Thanks Red. I know he's not a Black like you prefer but the chocolates blend into the dirt better so I don't need a dog blind hunting geese. Lol:sHa_sarcasticlol:
