Spring fishing Skeena system

Hello all,

I am looking for any info on the spring run of steelhead in the Terrace area.

I have never been up in that country and have never caught a steelhead. A certain bucket list fish if there ever was one IMO.

I am looking at the third or fourth week in March and am finding it quite difficult to find any information on the area. I can find lots of river names, but nothing specific regarding rivers that hold steelhead in the spring.

From what I see, the river systems are huge. Any advise to narrow down my search would be greatly apprecited.

Check out noelgyger.ca , he gives lots of info on the area...I had booked a summer trip up there using his site...

Head to China Bar, about 40ish minutes west of Terrace.

expect river conditions to change quickly as weather changes.

check the regs, a lot of rivers are closed at that time. I prefer fall steelhead fishing, better weather and bigger fish.
