Well interesting day .... definitely not 2 wheel drive mode out there

8" Snow

12" to 14" ice ...

3" to 4" water .... some places with slush .....

We stayed out from the boat launch... a fair ways ..

there are a fair amount of shacks off to the east ....

We caught 4 pike ....3 .... 64 to 70 cms ...

all C&R ....the only fish I saw caught ....

I wonder if anyone has tried to get to the west side from the RED RoCK

Road .....????

Watch around the red rock there are alot of natural springs and the ice is not good. Shack is out on the east side of the island stop by and say hi 10x12 wood shack

Your telling me , 2 years ago there was 20" Plus of ice at CVR.

We went in east of the rock ,drilled some holes , after a while I started

to work my way south along the shore ...Got a couple of hundred yards

from our original holes in 20 " of ice ..... Drill a hole 3" ...

Man did I get moving out of there ...

Gramps did you drive across from the launch or go on at pickets

on the east side .....
