Just got back from Coal lake. First time out in a quite a few years. What part of the lake is good for perch? I'm a little out of practice.

I would love to take my 2.5 year old out to Coal for some perch as well. Anybody have any luck catching perch out there?

How thick is the ice.........anyone driving on the lake yet? We've tried for perch years back in a few different places but not the best of luck. We fish without all the gadgets....we find a spot that looks good, dig a hole and look down and try our jigging. We usually do well catching pike.

Guys,
If your not worried about size, take the kids to Hasse. Go off the T shaped dock to your left at about a 45 deg angle until you get into about 20' of water. maggot's and a hali, let the fun begin!
