That's great news. The wife and I are booked with Serengeti for August. Really looking forward to it!

The Americans seem to do a much better job of managing the salmon fishery than Canada does.

I'm no scientist but I wonder if this has anything to do with it

DIY for a week on the west coast of the charlottes for me. Camping on the beach. Insane fishing out there for salmon and bottom fishing. Works out to cheaper than a week in rupert hotel or a week on van island since accommodations are free . If this interests anyone shoot me a pm. The more boats the better since its remote Best fishing on the coast IMO.

Going in July this year but might go in august next year. Last few seasons they have been getting albicore tuna only 15 miles offshore in August.

Check out damnation on Netflix, not that it speaks to the difference between U.S and Canada. Very good Doc about Salmon

West Coast of the Charlottes is a great place for a trip. Looking to go back this summer but not sure about timeline just yet. The tuna are out there but lots of ocean once you head offshore, brush up on your Japanese if you don't have 100% reliable boat.
Looking forward to the bottom fishing but salmon where everywhere.
