Winter float?

The strangely warm winter this year has been bad for sledders but good for those crazy enough to float the local rivers. Did my first trip last week of February. Still some frozen over sections but the water is really high for this time of year. Hit a couple high speed sweepers today but i managed to stay in the boat and the fishing was great. Never lost a hook all day which rare!
