Was blowing very hard this morning, but was in the cabin and set up by 8:30, sure can't beat a warm fire and a hot coffee for fishing. Didn't even feel the wind although it was pounding the cabin pretty good.

By 11:00 am I had 7 walleye, 4 burbs and one small pike out of the hole. And I didn't miss a SINGLE strike - that's rare ( for me............:scared: )

Pretty great morning, and I met a fellow AOer out there who was braving the wind in a tent.

Heres the best walleye of the day, a chunky girl just over 3 lbs. Probably full of eggs so I sent her on her way to make more walleye.

Yeah, theres plenty of ice. I go out with my Chevy Tracker so its pretty light, but guys have been out all week with full size trucks.

With temps being well below freezing all night the last week, I imagine the ice will be good up til the lake closes.
