went out on new years eve, ice was a solid 15-17 inches. we were there from 10-2:30 action was steady caught 2 and missed 6. access was alright snow was about a foot everywhere, getting on the ice was pretty easy but u need 4x4 forsure might head up sunday again

Went to CVR dec 31 caught 3 pretty slow and cold lots of ice 14 to 16 inchs

went to cvr today access are no good, tried south east exit,campground exit, and west exit all are no good 4 foot drifts across all roads, it sucks, Any Suggestions! AND warning to all got stuck 3 times to access lake, no go

We went to Crawling valley today and left. I thought my Silverado 4x4 would take us in but no chance Got stuck big time in front area of campground entrance. Some fine gents came by and helped pull us out or we may have called the ama. If it was one of the folks on the board a big thanks again. Don't even attempt to go through the campground boat launch it needs to be plowed first. Snow is over the bumpers and hard. I have a taller 4x4 3/4 ton and it was way too much. The snow was filling back in as fast as you can shovel out. I would suggest another spot until they can get the snow out of there. Did a cross country trip to Pine Coulee instead.

Totally agree to that, crappy day for cvr , needs to be plowed big time! No access till then tried all sides of the lake.
