Hey everyone!

I will be driving out to Edmonton in a week and I love to fish! I have never been there before and I'm looking to do some fishing on my days off! If anyone could help me out It would be greatly appreciated!

Go try the river at hermitage park using bait, there's an out fall on the North Saskatchewan River there you will catch something!

there is also a trout pond at hermitage. Not sure if there is still some ice on there or not.

I agree with what Ricky7 said. Worms or frozen minnows are the best bait. Good luck!

Im not sure if its just my bad luck but i'd stay away from using expensive lures around there. In the past I've had lots of snags & lost lures in that part of the river.

Thanks! I generally use worms, I do have a few lures but to get the best experience out of fishing, you have to put that worm on the hook!

This River valley brochure will help. If you zoom in on the map it will show where you can fish and what you can expect to catch in the area. There are several places that can be accessed.

There is a way to flip the map so it is upright instead of sideways.
Enjoy.

Send me a PM when you get to town. Perhaps we could meet and I'll show you some spots, or at least give you easy to understand directions. Weekdays are best, not crowded.
