Here is a site that has each knot used for fishing. Click on the knot and it shows how to tie that knot. Thought it might be useful to the new anglers. Great site.

Thanks for that great site!

I been using the improved clinch knot for a very long time and I could finally learn how it's called and confirmed I am actually doing it (and teaching it) right lol. That's reassuring!

On one of my reels I use 'spiderwire'. So far I have found that only the triple Palomar won't pull through. Anyone know of any others?

On braid I have always used a simple palomar knot and have never had issues. I will use flourocarbon leader when fishing for walleye and attach the two together with what looks like the alberto knot (never knew the name for it). For mono it has always been the improved clinch knot. That was the first knot I learned as a kid and is a staple!
