Yes, now that the MD has put a boat launch in, there will be more prop. boats out. I will find out tomorrow if they are going to take out the camp sites along the beach. I heard today that they were.

The MD has taken out the campsites on the beach of the Forks. So legally no one is to camp on the beach. Should be interesting. While I was down at the forks, 3 people showed up and started fishing. I asked them if they knew that the fishing was closed until Friday. There answer was Oh Really. After checking there regs. they packed up and left.

Good on you for informing them of the regulations, guess it's too time consuming for some to check before you go.

As far as the camping goes can you still camp there just not at the beach?

There are still designated camping spots.
I'm not sure who is going to enforce the bylaws. I can't see them shutting down general camping.

There are a few campsitess on top but I think the county has ruined the forks. Its going tobe a non stop gong show with the launch and no beach camping. I think this is going to affect the fish in a negative way big time

The MD had no say in the matter. The RCMP put in a request to the MD for the boat launch. The RCMP need to be able to launch there jet boat for emergencies. They have a new 18ft. Outlaw Lynx.

Yep poor Dago....up fishing all night likely hauling in those heavy sturgeon....tough job but I guess someone has to do it. I hope he gets some rest, and just think he has to do it all over again tonight I bet.....

It's dead slow fishing today at the forks. Lots of people, lots of other boats. Water is really low and slow. Going to have to hunt them down.

Yes, a lot more jet boats. Launch is nice, and people are respecting the no camping on the beach.

The sturgeon fishing is slow. But if you're fishing for walleye and sauger the fishing is good. Hickman and myself caught over30 walleye and sauger. Friday just before sunset the sauger were stacked up. We caught at least15 sauger. Biggest was18#. It's going to be a nice day out here today. Got to go.

took me til 6 pm to get a dino yesterday. did catch a 20 pound plus pike on my sturgeon bait! got to compare the fight on the same rod with the sturgeon, dino wins the best fight category no contest. have a good day out there! Bow is still rising now. came up at least 6 inches the last 2 days

That was a great couple hours, never seen that many sauger in a season let alone one evening. Thanks Dago for making it a "collective" total,even though you outfished me 2-1. Hope the big ones were biting today.

Great trip, great company and great fun. Too bad the Sturgeon fishing was dreadfully slow. Pretty busy down there, I bet next weekend's May Long festivities will be crazier.
