i see that Home Hardware also sells a canoe any ideas how they stand up to the canadian tire ones?

I couldn't imagine being out in any kind of waves with one of those Cdn Tire jon boats. Any canoe on the other hand will hold its own in waves. You can even buy trolling motor brackets to mount a Minn Kota.

BassPro sells a real nice 14' Aluminum Jon for about $1100. If you have a trailer and the power already it makes a nice inexpensive utility unit.
