Spray Lakes tomorrow - suggestions?

Hi All - Has anyone been out to Spray Lakes recently? Is all the ice off? Was wanting to take my boat out for a day. Any tips on what to fish with this time of the year? Thanks

First off be very careful on the road up, gravel can make a real mess of your boat.

Fish should be shallow so jigging a tube or smelt should work. Grey flat fish or a hootchi seems to work well and you should be able to flat line troll this early in the season.

Anyone know if the ice is off?

Went out to Spray Lakes today. Ice is definitely off and the water is LOW. Be careful you don't get stuck in the mud at the end of the lower ramp; it looks like somebody had a heck of a time getting out judging by the huge tire ruts! We were only on for about an hour or so, then a storm rolled in - no fish. Better luck next time! Has anyone had luck out there so far this year?
