Fished this lake on Saturday. Not one walleye to be found. Worked the lake HARD too.

4 pike picked up. I don't like pulling fish off spawning beds but I'd sure like to know where they go.

Did you try the bays off the main lake ? 3-6 feet of water !!!

I did. Just not all of them.

I guess I'd make a terrible partner for Just Cowboy for his tournaments.

If you're going to work the rocks then don't I pounded that whole shore and didn't even register anything on sonar.

One little pike on Saturday from a shore in 4 hours. Usually non stop walleye from same spot, just a bit early is all i think.

my guess is the spawn was way early ( full moon of April 3rd ish). The bulk of the big fish have followed their feed ino slightly deeper waters already.

They weren't deep that's for sure. My guess is a little later spawn.

I'm pretty sure the pike spawned early as I caught very few in my normal spots right after opening but caught a few in more of their summer locations. I didn't try any walleye spots so can't comment on them.

A few pike on Saturday, but 1,000,000 bugs on truck when I got back to shore and 10,000 in truck by time I got all packed up hahaha. Most intense hatch I have ever seen there. Krazy!!!!
