I have heard some rumbling that there is a possibility of this lake being fished out, anybody else heard this? I am going to be heading there soon for a day trip to do some fishing but if it is fished out i dont want to waste my time with it.

Thanks Guys!

I have only fished Stoney through the ice, and have always had some success with pike and perch. Never heard anything about it winterkilling or being fished out. It is a popular lake for locals and recieves a lot of pressure.

Try it and find out, there are a ton of lakes in that area so it wouldnt take much to pack up and move to another. Its a small lake and received alot of pressure this winter. Probably not a bad idea to give it a little recuperation time, but each to their own.

This the the kind of lake where the locals give all visitors "the hairy eyeball" when they show up to fish "their" lake.

And after taking their limit out of the water everyday are very quick to blame all the visitors for the decline in the fish population.

Sounds familiar to me.

That lake has been decimated by bucket filling farmers.

Ya there was quite a few dead small perch on the ice as they are pulling them out of 30' water.
