Went out last Saturday with fellow member willowtrail for an evening fish on Ste Anne, it was hot but worth it. We caught quite a few beauty walleye and some small hammer handles.

I went out last Sunday and caught quite a few fish and had a great time. Did you notice the fish are long but not necessarily have any chunk to them? We had a few over 50 cm range but they had no belly to them. I suppose it could simply be due to the spawn being over and the eggs are out but it just seemed, to me at least, that they were long fish with not much body weight to them.

Good Times ....

That lake is great for getting out and staying busy with fish on the line constantly. I've never been to catch anything of size at Ste.Anne but it sure is fun to be busy.

We were out at Wabamun ..... it was busy there too .... lots of pike and a few really nice sized walleyes on crankbaits.

Congrats on a nice day on the water. I love fishing Anne but one thing I've noticed in the last couple years is how many pike are being caught. I think it's time for some pike tags or slot size pike keepers.

working weed edges is a hammer handle fest out there the last two seasons.

great fun for kids.

Seen a couple 10+ lb pike caught this past winter as well.

Its kinda nice to see some of them slimey buggers in there amongst the walleyes again.

Thanks guys. I think we caught about 6 or 7 pike that day. a few of the walleye we caught were very chunky.

I hit the narrows yesterday for a couple hrs. Walleye are biteing, for sure. Nice to get a line wet. Could have filled tags in a couple hrs but they are a little thin still. Lots of bait fish swimming around so the eyes will fatten up quickly. Nice to see that lake making a comeback after years of depleation.

Nice pics Sureshot!
