One of my wife's assistants had some excitement today. A moose had wandered in to town and F&W tried to tranq it but instead of going to sleep it got belligerent and started attacking people! Just as F&W rushes to the truck and leapt back out loading a rifle in the process the work-from-his-home neighbor looks out the window. To his horror an armed man is running down the street! He frantically called 911 and the resulting blue and red rodeo sealed the poor moose's fate.
When she got home for lunch and asked her husband about the huge blood stain in the front yard - I guess the poor guy still couldn't catch his breath trying to tell her about the excitable young fellow next door.

2 things dont make sense

A) wouldn't the F&W guy be in uniform and a marked truck?? Why call 911 if a uniformed guy is already on scene?

B) Wouldn't F&W communicate with the RCMP so they know they have a situation and not come riding in like the calvary??

what happened to the moose? is the meat tainted after getting tranquilized?

The fellow as actually out in his garage and sheepishly admits to hitting the dirt and crawling into the house to get to phone. When asked about the uniform he claims he never noticed and the truck was unmarked. F&W seldom calls the cops in these situations.

Damn city folks, when will they learn to just leave the Moose alone, eventually they will wander off on thier own! >::|
