South Buck Lake Report

Hello. Wondering if anyone has been there lately. Are there perch in that lake and how thick is the ice. Any info would be appreciated..

Been trying to get up there the last couple of weeks but to busy. Plan is to head there tommorow. If I make it I'll post a report.

Slow as per usual, yes there are perch.

Anyone getting any walleye?

Got there about noon today and the wind was up a bit but not to bad. Decided to try a spot around calhoun bay that had seen some pretty good action last year and within 5 minutes hooked a nice walleye but it released itself. Figured it was a good sign, but not so much. Wind really got bad and the fish were no where to be seen until about 4. Action picked up a bit but only managed to land a couple runt walleye and a small pike. Ice was about 16 inches or so. Good trail out through the bay on the way in but with the drifting snow the truck got a bit of a workout coming out.
