Spent a very nice Sunday afternoon on Johnson Lake. Friends of ours bought their first canoe and wanted to try their maiden voyage close by. It was windy in the Bow Valley today so we chose Johnson given that it is reasonably sheltered. Caught 5 between us - two 16" rainbows and three scrappy 12" brookies. All-in-all a fun day considering I forgot my fly rod and had to rely on my backup spin outfit with a fly and bobber.
