I'm headed out to cold lake, never fished it in open water before, hoping to get some tips for walleye and Lakers.

I personally like to anchor off with my I-Pilot and jig the Lakers with tube jigs and Parkers minnows in 100-130 feet of water. It's fun for the kids and if you are lucky enough to catch a keeper, they taste great in the smoker. As far as the Walleye's go I am sorry but I cant' share that information with you.:)

Lakers are all over the place lol, caught from surface down to 145ft. was a little slower than normal but is picking up for sure. All mine was trolling till I found bait balls or lakers stacked then came around on top and jigged which is very productive. good time to get out there. sorry never fished walleye this go, too busy with lakers, you can fish walleye all over alberta, cant say the same for lakers :p

Thanks! The walleye were right where you said, a bit tricky getting a 17' Lund in there lol!

Next time out I'd like to spend more time on the Lakers I think, we did manage to get one tho, they sure like to pull!
