Hey everyone. Just wondering what lake would be better to take the kids to. Planing on camping this weekend and taking the kids fishing. We will be fishing from shore and I would love to see them catch some jack. They have only caught rainbows so I think they would go crazy if they even caught a 3lb er.
Thanks in advance Craig

Buck lake might be hard to fish from shore unless you can get a permission from someone with a dock. Crimson I am unsure of the shore fishing potential.

Looking at the depth map might give you an idea about buck lake.

Wizard lake has some easy shore fishing for small pike right in front of the Jubilee park on the north east end of the lake. Nice campground.

If your referring to Buck lake (south) near pigeon. Me and the kids had a blast at the Calhoun bay campsite. There is a very small creek that runs through it and we managed to catch tons of pike. Nothing huge (a couple legal size) but was very enjoyable. If your referring to north buck... can't comment, never been.
