Downrigger question

I've got a pair of Scotty 1091 downriggers and I need to zero the counter on them. I had a quick look at them, but couldn't see how to zero the counter. All I could figure was to take off the couter to zero it, I'm wondering if there's an easier way? Not tgat unscrewing it is hard, just thought maybe there's a reset button.

This explains it better than I can. I have the same ones and it wasn't difficult.
I wanted mine to read '0' with the ball 6" into the water.

Just did mine when I put new braid on both did it before putting ball safety pin on
