Sorry boys typing on my phone 57 inches not 67
Sadly as we found out latter my wife's electronic scale was a bit out so not sure on exact waight. Said 21 pounds on hers but waight a laker latter that day with mine and hers and it was out by 3 pounds on a six pound fish.
I had already filleted the pike so no second weight.
But biggest I have ever caught for sure

Definitely a nice long fish. 57" is huuge and I'd imagine would be well over 30 lbs... When I've landed 20's they are usually in the 43-45 inch range, give or take

A friend of mine caught a 53" pike out of poplar creek just north of fort mcmurray in 1992ish, it was longer than my endgate was on my Chevy S10. I think he ate it.

I thought I read somewhere that there was a 66" pike caught somewhere? I think I saw some at least that big up at a lake I flew into right by the AB, Sk,NWT border. I swear the pike in that lake eat baby moose!

Nice fish! So u filleted that giant fish eh? Lemme know how that tastes vs say a 3-5 lb pike, just out of curiosity.

This is a pic of the 106cm - 23 lb 4 oz hog that I landed a couple weeks ago. Sadly, and quite honestly, this was the only picture we were able to get as the big girl kicked right out of my hands and i had to drop her back in the water (as to not drop her in the boat) as i was attempting to roll her upright for a better pic.

Yours is a hell of a fish though, nice work!

Sour puss and Hot 100. LOL:oregonian_winesmile

Just caught this one last week up in Otter Lake Sask... just a hair shy or 40". Didn't weight it.

Now open the mouth and pour in a few pounds of lead shot....:thinking-006:

Yeah ..... lol ..... we should have ....

The reality is, I have not caught anything big and fat through the ice (not over 15-16 lbs anyways) - All of the above were open water fish. Pike are much fatter in the winter.

I also think it's much harder to embellish length compared to weight - so there are probably quite a few 20 lbers (posted with pics) that were more like 16's.

All of these fish were measured and weighed with proper equipment ..... and there is no doubt, in many cases, we were disappointed and surprised how such a big fish would weight so much less than it looked.

Seems like everyone else's fish weigh more per inch than mine ..... lol.
