the town of sylvan lake hired an artist to build this beautiful ice castle on the
lake right where the skating rink is. the kids can skate right through it and
people are coming from all over to see it and take photos.
i think the price tag was around $10,000.00
they used about 50 tonnes of ice blocks.
it really is worth coming down to check it out.
it has some benchs inside. but it is too shallow of water to any good for
ice fishing, my son wanted to try anyway.

They should've built it further out, the little bastards don't have the energy or ambition to go very far, and that way guys could've used it for fishing...:D
