Recently moved to Leduc from Ireland. Just got my fishing licence yesterday & I'm itching for a cast..
Living pretty close by the two lakes, though I can't seem to find very much info on what the fishing is like.

Just wondering if anyone has any experiences fishing either of the two lakes or if anyone could point me in the direction of somewhere close by that's good to fish.

Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks! :happy0034:

Welcome to Canada and the forum.
Telford lake has no fish. I think Fred Johns is at the reservoir just west of hwy. 2. If so, the reservoir is stocked with trout. If you drive 20 minutes you can go to Wizard lake or Coal lake for pike. The north saskatchewan river by Devon has many species and you can drive right down right by the bridge.(thru Devon)

Telford Lake does not have fish. Too shallow and eutrophic. Fred Johns is stocked with trout, but they are tricky to catch.

Coal, pigeon, battle, wizard are all great options for pike/walleye from shore.

Sorry- I was thinking of Fred John's. It's seems to me there was a thread last year about how to fish there.
