Record for me at least! Never seen a rod that long on a freshwater fishery. I figure it was 20-25 feet

My Dad doesn't even keep enough line on his rod to make it past the last eye on that one.

You need the extra rod length as there is usually a big one holding under the rock which is just out of reach....

Good for fishing out that lost bobber, or retrieving a beaver that you have shot.

I remember reading an article about a fishing derby some where over the pond that was for the smallest fish. They used 16 to 24 foot rods with a short length of 1 lb. line tied only to the end of the rod, and size 24 to 30 hooks.
1/4 of an ounce fish won the derby.

I am betting that was a Russian guy. Seen him a few times at Severn.

It is so long all he does is drop the short line on the end into the water and he already way beyond where anyone is casting to. If he gets a bite he just lifts and swings it to the side I asked how long it was and he claims 9 meters.
