Good day gents. What's the water level like on the upper and lower K? The launch usable on both? That's a long haul only to find out you can't get a boat in the water.

Hi!
Not sure about lower lake - was there three weeks ago on a boat, but water level dropped after that.
Upper lake is fine - was there on June 7th and my friend was past weekend - no problem at all, and level is rising...
All the best,
Alex

Go to this link:

http://www.environment.alberta.ca/apps/basins/default.aspx

It is the Alberta Environment website that will give you river and lake levels.

Here's the link to the Upper lake:
http://www.environment.alberta.ca/apps/basins/DisplayData.aspx?Type=Figure&BasinID=8&DataType=3&StationID=RINTERES

Here's the link to the lower lake:

As the previous poster said, the upper lake is fine but the lower might be a bit tricky.

jts1,

Water level on the Lower is low...oh that was bad. Just got back on Sunday from a week of camping and fishing. The boat launch is 80% out of the water but had no problem with my 15' tinner and my friends 21' custom weld. if you are heading to the south side of the lake watch for some high spots 1/3 of the way down the lake from the launch, narrow channel on the right then it opens up and drops to 100'+. PM me if you have any more "in depth questions"
