burnstick question

I've never fished burnstick before and am wondering if the perch fishing is any good at the campground this time of year. looking for a spot to take my daughter and not have her saying "I'm bored!" now that I mention it that may be improbable but none the less any info would be awesome.
I'm not looking for keepers just numbers.

Not sure about at the campground but I've caught perch across the lake from it. Fairly steady action but the biggest ones were only about 9" long. If you're already there I'd try a bobber and worm, cast out as far as you can and hope for the best. Should get a couple perch but I'm not sure if I'd make a trip there specifically to shore fish though.
