Some people build swimming pools in their back yards. But outdoor pools in Alaska just won't work.

This family lives on the outskirts of Anchorage . They decided to build a sturdy, colorful playground for their 3 and 4 year old sons, with smooth-stone gravel all around it to avoid knee scrapes and other injuries.

They finished building it on Saturday evening, and the following morning, as the mom was about to wake up the boys and have them go out to play in their new play center, this is what she saw from the upstairs window:

i think i'll try taking a slide out into the bush this spring? cheaper than bait maybe haha

Looks like my back yard,, I had to take one out of the box of my truck 3 years ago,, big sow,, shot the cub to just to make sure the genetics weren't carried on...

now here is a question from a bear newbie...i would guess that those are young bears, but that one that is kinda sprawled out on that climbing board thing looks like its at least 6' long no? what would be a good sized bear to shoot?

I'd say 3.5 to 4 those swings aren't very big.

Looks like an awful lot of immature bears in one place...I'm guessing it's a phoney. It just looks too staged.
