So Im up here for work and wanted to head away from fishing under the bridge for once, I tried fishing down stream of the water treatment plant but that was hec of a hike with not a lot of action on the rod. The water was mud brown, 2 days ago when I went and I was working it with a fly line.

Not asking for a honey hole or anything, but is there another typical spot like under the bridge I could get pointed to?

Or any one want to go fishing partner up here?

Get a pen.

-mouth of the Clearwater
-mouth of the Snye
-Mouth of poplar creek
-mouth of hangingstone
-mouth of horse creek
-mouth of fish creek (might not be so good this time of year)

It has been several years since I fished there, but these were my honey holes.

If you go to the mouth of the Clearwater and you walk up stream on the Athabasca a couple hundred yards there is a shale shelf, we used to hook the walleye there fairly steady, with lots of double hook ups on the p-rigs.

If you don't mind going for a drive go north on 63 to the top of super test and take the right at the top. It will take you down to the area of the mouth of Poplar Creek.
Continue up 63 and cross the bridge to nowhere. Turn right at the gravel pit access before the first curve and follow the trail down to the mouth of the Muskeg River. You can see the mouth as you get to the end of the bridge.
Continue up 63 to the traffic light and turn left to Barge Landing.
Usually catch fish at each of these spots. Good luck!!
