Trout fishing slow?

With the heat im wondering if its been slow in the lakes?:thinking-006:

Lakes have been fine (well at Wab on Saturday I caught 77 pike and 2 walleye), although the heat did kick me off of it by 4pm...haha...so I was the wimp, but the lake was great.

The rivers on the other hand I feel are slower from the heat...could just be me though :thinking-006:

The ponds are sure slow around here. They were a bit more active this morning now its cooler. Managed to catch one this morning early.

I have not seen the trout jumping near as much since the most recent heat wave kicked in.

Must be certain areas. At Wab I noticed a million locusts/grasshoppers on the surface, and pike were jumping like crazy. I wish I knew a trout lake with the same phenomenon, and try my little grasshopper top water rap or whatever it is...should kill!
