Rdr with new rod!

Went out fishing tonight, the rain was off/on.
Used my new st croix triumph rod, with a spirex 2500fg reel.
Fantastic combo! Cant believe i caught anything at all on my old set up.

Walleye limit is 0, pike was just a baby, and two goldeyes came home for the neighbors smoker.
Forgot to snap a picture of the rod, next time.
That 16 inch walleye is the smallest i have ever caught out of the rdr. Fought like crazy though.

I figured you'd be happy with that setup. It's not <$100 but it's some quality equipment that'll probably bring a little more action to your battles from now on.

Yup, shes broken in nice. Casts like a dream. The double handle reel is great.
Going to give it another go tonight. Try and get some more goldeye for the smoker.:sHa_shakeshout:
