Pine lake for fishing

Hey guys up in red deer visiting a friend and was wanting to take her and her boy out fishing for the day and I thought of pine lake since I used to fish there when I was little! Jus wondering if the fishing is any good there or if I should find something else

I have heard that they are having algae problems but have not verified this for myself.

I would go somewhere else, that lake is full of green slime.
It came in early this year. Burntstick would be good choice.
Perch are biting good there. Good luck
