Fishing trip photo spectacular!!!

I made it back out east in the middle of June my annual summer workation out at a fishing lodge in Ontario. Got out for 2 weeks this year and the fishing was pretty ridiculous as always. This isn't one of those places that says they have good fishing and then when you get there you get the "you should have been here last week" story. I will let the pics do the talking and add a few words in here and there. Once again Ontario has ruined fishing for me!!

A bit of a thunderstorm came through one night after dinner so I didn't get back out on the lake till late

Then the big walleyes started coming in. This one was 27.5"

I was bass fishing one morning near a set of falls and first cast had this 38" come out and bite me off. I pulled out the bike rod and first cast with the pike lure he came back and hit again. Managed to land the fish and get my bass crank back!!

Was sitting out with one of the other guides one night on a known big pike and walleye spot. Multiple times we had big fish chasing our walleyes up and hitting them near the boat. This evening we got 5 big eyes and another 4 pike. This was one of them at 39"

Like I was saying we had lots of big Northerns hitting our walleyes on the way up. Were sitting there jigging and heard a splash in front of the boat. Look down and there are 2 good size fish both locked onto the same walleye. Never seen anything like it before. Eventually one of the fish let go, but don't know which one as it all ended in big splash. The bigger fish on the left was around 36" the smaller on the right around 30"

Got this hog of a 42" on a black and orange Showgirl. This day was super fun with 3 fish over 40" and a couple good walleyes as well.

The mayflies were out in full force which made fishing walleye anywhere that wasn't a rock bottom a little difficult some mornings

A few final numbers from this trip. Got over a dozen walleyes over 24" biggest being a 27.5" and 28". 6 pike 40" or bigger and another 10 in the 36-39" range. I don't even know how many small mouth but the biggest went 19.5". And this was just my own fish. I guided 6 days and fished for myself for another 8. It was a pretty decent workation and will be back again next year. The fishing gets better every year!

I see you flew over Carroll lake. I flew into there in 1966 for week. The fishing was just stupid good. Many times we had pike hit walleye on their way in.

Funny you ask.. I actually have 3 videos. It can get a little lonely when fishing alone in a boat for 8 days so I was recording "Wes's Excellent Fishing Adventures" when I got into that 28" walleye.
