Is Glenmore Reservoir closed?

Hi All,

I am just wondering if the Glenmore Reservoir is closed as part of the recent closure of some water bodies????

I make no guarantees but I think it's open, the closures are because of warm water temperatures which are barely affecting the reservoir of at all. They say Elbow river from Glenmore reservoir to the Bow river so it's just the river itself that's closed. Again, I'm not positive but that's how I interpret it.

That is what I understand from the news, but I called Calgary office this morning and a lady told me it is closed.

I guess if I asked her about the Atlantic, she would say CLOSED.

She was really mad for no reason.

Last time I called and asked about a water body for pike fishing, a lady said NO you can not keep anything. Next morning another officer said 3 pike (no size limit).

Anyway, it is open but I am not very sure.

I checked with MyWild Alberta on facebook, and they clarified for me that it is indeed open:

Yes, I checked Facebook and definitely it is open.
I will call Calgary tomorrow morning and complain, the lady there argued with me and insisted it is CLOSED.

According to the online 2015 AB regs, no mention of Glenmore Res closure.

(Of course, that may change if we don't get a break from this heat soon).

Yes - rivers are closed until further notice (as we all know by now).

Also - Pike limit 3 (no size limit) - all listed under ES1 regs.

Up to 20mm rain forecast Friday night/Sat combined with cooler tempo the next week, will be a nice break for the waters.
