Anyone driven by there lately? Thinking about heading there tomorrow but don't want to waste a trip if it's just sludge like last weekend.
Thanks :)

Yep it's extra sludgy with all the heat this past week as well.

Weedy but some of the best fishing in 20+ years.

Great, has it been very muddy this year, might give it a go maybe around there end of august/early september for the variety of species it offers. But if its really muddy and not worth fishing at the time being might save me a trip too.

It's really not that muddy right now, but it's seems like most people are not having much luck, I seem to be th only one I know who is having a good year.

Drove across the bridge at 5:30 yesterday and was zero visibility. Muddy banks upstream.:thinking-006:

Was originally thinking of tolman/drumheller, but would fishing at Red deer/Joffre are be a better bet in this low water?

Seems like you've got most of the luck :) what would be a recommended spinning setup to fish the river, without bait (illegal there) for goldeyes and walleyes? Usually I prefer to use my fly rod when fishing streams :)

A fly is gonna catch you only lots of goldeyes. On a spinning reel, use a shiny spinner for goldeye, walleye, and sometimes sauger and a jig for walleye, pike, sauger, and burbot.

Thanks for the tips, I think I head to that stretch and bring both rods
