Question about the hunter training course

Hi everyone,
About ten years ago when a friend and I were in jr. high, we took a hunters education course. I went on to get a win card and go hunting later that year, but he had some unexpected issues and ended up not getting the win card and hasnt hunted yet. He recently moved back to town and I want to take him out and show him the ropes, but he cant find that certificate that he got when we passed the hunter training.

Would he have to take the course again or is there some way of proving that he took the course already?

When he fills out the paper work for his WIN he just checks off having taken the course. When he signs it, its an affidavit. Or in other words a legal document that he is telling the truth. When my son filled his out he hadn't gotten his paperwork back from the hunter ed course yet, but had gotten a phone call saying he passed.
