Was dead. 1 small jack after a couple hours. Was skunked a month ago. Been weird, before this year we had great success.

Try a slip bobber and worm at the opposite end of the lake from the boat launch. Anchor out in 10 ft of water and you should have good luck with walleye and some pike. Also troll on the sandy side of the island with some cranks down 8-10 ft for walleye. I have always had very good luck there and am wondering when they will open it up to a draw.

I don't think the set-up would of mattered. I've hammered Walleye there for years in 17-20 feet. It was August and the blue green algae made everyone sleepy.

Talked to a couple guys who fished there all day, and it was pretty slow for them too. September will come soon enough.

Fished it last Thursday evening, managed 3 pike and 2 walleye in just under an hour. Then I ran out of minnows. :sign0161:

As a side note, caught my PB walleye outta there about 8 years ago. 28 3/4 inches and chunky.

Me too about 6-7 lbs. On Canada day 5 yrs ago in the dark while everyone around lake had a fire and fireworks. I held it up to the moon and took a pic? I know it was by far biggest I've ever caught in that lake or around anywhere actually

I've only ice fished there in the last few years, but yeah it's been slow. I think the lake gets a ton of pressure plus the drought and blue green doesn't help.
