Was out on holidays for a week and on the way home we parked out front of West Ed Mall at the Fanatsy Land Hotel entrance. Went in for 3 hours, came out and my truck and sled were gone. I was so worried about my skidoo being stolen out the back of the truck, had it chained in and backed up against the cement wall, but they ended up stealing the whole thing. Mother *@!$ers!!!!

Police ended up finding my truck on the weekend in good shape, but no skidoo.

What I'm asking is that if anyone out there happens to see someone riding an 2008 Skidoo Summit 146" (black) that just doesn't belong to them or seems odd that they have it, can you sent me a PM.

I realize it is a shot in the dark and insurance is covering the skidoo but I want to get my paws on them for some behind the hill kinda action.

The problem is these guys rarely get caught and they never get what is coming to them. Most of them are stealing to support some other habits and they have no clue of the value of what they have stolen or the inconvenience/harm they have caused. I've had 2 house breakins many years ago...you just don't sleep the same for the next few nights.

In my cases they stole stuff that was easily replaceable and had no real sentimental attachment. I've got friends that have had sentimental stuff stolen (like jewellery given to them by their now dead grandmother)...this stuff was probably fenced for pennies and it is irreplacable.

You become a victim a second time when you get to deal with your insurance adjuster; he adds insult to injury.

I hope you find your stuff and I hope you find the thieves in a dark alley with no witnesses.

The worst part of it is, you guessed it, the insurance but above that is the toys that my kids had left in there. You don't steal from my kids and think you will get away with it. They will get what is coming to them someday, maybe not from me but from someone else they try to steal from.

I did however register the sled in Skidoo's north american database as stolen, so if it ever shows up at a shop they will seize it right there. There is always hope.

Do you remember that guy who stole a quad in Fort Mac a few years ago and who broke through the ice with it at the water treatment plant?

Divers found his body a few days later....Karma can be a b1tch..:tongue2:

Also keep an eye out for 'Parts For Sale' forums & mags that do that stuff. They could run it through a chop shop.

Even if they were caught they would just get a slap on the wrist. They should let the victim's have them for 1 hour after their sentencing, that would probably deter a few in the future.

Truck was fingerprinted but no usable prints. According to the detective, it was found 4 blocks east of Nait in Edmonton. He told me there is a few people in that area that are know for car theft and armed robbery. I told him if they catch him and he gets off to call me and I can make them disappear in the muskeg up here. He gave me a chuckle and that was it. Truck is off to the auction this weekend I think. If you see beige ford F350 there, don't buy it. LOL
