Ab, nice job.
Kathy has my moose right now.
Are you going to put it on backing or a mount of any sort?

Jamie,

I think I am going to order some of these Euro Hangers. They look sort of minimalist and cool. Cheap too!

Looks great.
A dandy antelope at that. What did he score?
What does it cost to get it cleaned?

The contrast between the white of the skull and the black of the horns is especially appealing to the eye...

Those beetles do a nice job. Did she use anything to whiten or just beetles?

Anyone have any beetles to sell for my own culture?

Nice Antelope as well.

Nicely prepared skull. I have never seen anyone clean up a lower jaw like that. Its not a European mount until it is on a nice board to be hung on a wall.

Maybe "euro" means "cleaned skull" these days. There is so much new slang being used these days its hard to tell what people are talking about sometimes.

Rack,

I haven't scored him. Couldn't even tell you how long he is. Just that he turned out to be a pleasant surprise (bigger than I thought) and I was glad to get him. He would be in the top 3 antelope I have ever got.

The hunt turned out to be pretty special, and I may never score him. He's a trophy, and having a score wouldn't make him any more special. I guess I'm getting old. Or at least more mature. It's not that long ago I would been lined up at a horn measuring to find out. Now I don't care much care. (Although I do wish my moose had scored 1/4 inch more. 189 &7/8 kinda sucks!)

I hate to admit it, but I'm getting old(er). At work we have been hiring a lot of kids right out of college lately. I sometimes forget that they may not have any references to Miami Vice, or Simon & Simon, TJ Hooker, Hunter, Magnum etc etc. Flock of Seagulls etc. The blank look on their faces, is funny at times, but mainly it makes me realize that I am no longer the "young guy". Matter of fact, I am getting dangerously close to falling into the "old" category (at least in enforcement). I'm working in my 19th year. Who would have though that, when this job started off limited term, month to month, back in Sept 1990?

"Yesterday... Seems so very far away...."
