just wondering if there is someone here from the Manning area that I can ask a few questions of.

Hey tuc, I have a question about the area, I have came across a quarter of land for sale up there, well between there and peace river. What is the hunting like for elk, moose, whitetails and muleys, but mainly moose and elk?

I wish i could answer that. I bought a little property just north af Manning and will find out next fall. The realtor I dealt with is an avid hunter and guide and he said the hunting is good for elk, moose and WT.

I remember last fall someone asking about meat cutters in Manning. Was it one of you guys?
Anyrate, I do remember telling them there was a meat cutter in Manning but at that time I couldn't remember who it was. I did email the realtor for them and asked but of course he never emailed me back. I get the Banner Post (Manning newspaper) every week and for future reference it is the IGA in Manning who cuts up venison.

Depends where around Manning for elk. Moose, deer and bears should be good.

As for a butcher, the on in Manning is closed now. Another fellow took it over and it soon got shut down by the Health Authority is my understanding.

Up till last season, we took trimmings in (moose/elk/deer) to get Jalopeno/Cheddar or Mexican Smokies made. The fellow back then make awesome smokies. Fresh shipments of peppers were only used and made only once a year in Jan/Feb.

Too bad its closed, we had some more trimmings again for more smokies.
