Best place to get a jiffy auger tune up in Edmonton. It is only a few years old and only drilled about a dozen holes but has not run for about 4 years.

Drain the old fuel, add new stuff and fire it up...should be fine

Don't forget to add some seafoam to the new gas...

I only ever run premium fuel from places that do not add any ethanol into their gas. I also run stabilizer 365 days a year in my auger motor as well as my sled, quad and boat.

Check the oil in the gear case, just make sure its up to proper level. Tighten all lose bolts. Do all of the previous posts and should only take 15 mins tops. If you take it in it will cost you $65 to $100 labore to do these things. Your cost to do your self is $10 or so. ( Parts only )

Plug - $5 , haven't changed mine in 5 years or more. ( carry a spare in the tackle box )
seafoan - $1 , can will cost you $14 but you will only use 2 oz of it or so.
gas and oil - $5

All excellent advice. I too have only used premium 91-94 octane in all my Lil 2 strokes and never had a problem in any of them year round. Auger is going on 5 or 6 yrs now on same plug and only problem was cracking throttle cable from kink making throttle stick slightly. Like Kim said save your money and get it up to snuff yourself?
