Epic trip Mitch, I'm glad you guys did as good you did out there. Going to be tough to get back on the Alberta horse after that one! Some very impressive and thick fish there my friend, that one with the open hole on the nose is quite unique...any idea on what would cause that? I have seen a few deformities on the whites from the Fraser, but none quite like that! congrats again on the trip of a lifetime!

By the way, I think that Avatar is due for an update...:sHa_shakeshout:

Nice pics and fish. You'll never be able to look at the NSR sturgeon the same. Did you get to tag any?

Look like an awesome trip Mitch!
How about some trip details like where did you put in?
did you rent a slip/moorage?
Where did you stay/accommodations?
We are all ears!

We fished and launched near the mission bridge, We did not go with a guide, and brought our own boat and gear out instead!

Thanks man! It was a hell of a trip! We figured someone possibly foul hooked it there and tore the skin apart.

Congrats buddy, you've got yourself some nice fish.
I'm going to have to drag my butt out that way next time you go ;)
Ps:Stop photo shopping your fish. We all know they don't grow that big!

Here is one of the videos we got, this is my 6'5 sturgeon that nearly took out the boat on the jump, we had thought it was small until we seen this! After the jump the battle started and it took me just about 25 minutes to land it!

nice pics....looks like a great trip. Also looks like you didn't have to run too far upstream from where you launched you boat. :)

Yup....I recognize the area. I live nearby, and walk the dog on the opposite side from where you landed the fish. Lots of pink carcasses around.
Glad to see you had a great trip, and looks like your timing was bang on. Oh, and kudos for not being a local, and not using a guide, and still doing as well as you did. Nicely done.
Next year, invite me, and I'll bring the Timmy's. :medium-smiley-035:
