The test is very easy if you've gone over the manual. Most of the test is based on the so called 4 vital ACTS of firearm safety and making sure that you PROVE your firearm safe. The written test is 50 multiple choice and true / false questions. For the practical part you will need to show that you know the 4 ACTS of firearm safety and PROVE the gun safe.

Just make sure that you control the muzzle at all times, and when ever the tester hands you a firearm, PROVE it safe. You will also be asked to identify different types of cartridges (shotgun, rimfire, centerfire, etc.). Don't forget to make sure that you are using the right kind of ammunition by checking the cartridge headstamp against the caliber markings on the barrel.

If you're taking the restricted course as well, you'll also be tested to make sure that you have the proper ATT permits and know how to legally transport the firearm. Otherwise, it's the same sort of test.

You won't have any problems if you've spent anytime around guns. Just remember ACTS and PROVE and you'll be finished before you know it.
