The RCMP are frustrating

So basically the RCMP called a while ago and said they recovered our winchester 30-30. It was not the Branch that was investigating but they said they would get back to us about it. When the investigating officer called us we handed over the info that they'd found one.

So a month or so goes by and he calls back and asks who called because the supposed branch that called us is connected with theirs and they should know what's what.

He told us that he checked in and they have no recollection of anything.

So basically the RCMP found the gun but now nobody knows who has it.

make contact with the member who did your investigation, have him run the serial number for your rifle on CPIC, if it's been recovered, it will be off the system and they will be able to determine where it was recovered.
If that was all the info you got, may have been a prank call...
