Exam book

Anyone know where I can pick up a copy of the study manual so I can challange the exam? As well Can I challange the restricted firearms exam, my dad wants to hand over some hand guns.

If you happen to be in Calgary, call the Alberta Hunter Education Instructor's Association at 252-8474. I purchased the manual there last month for $15 and challenged the non-restricted course a few days later. You can also challenge the restricted course, but you need to successfully challenge the non-restricted course first I believe. The above association uses volunteers for the course challenge, so there is no cost. However, I happily made a small donation to the association to cover the volunteer's time.

I successfully challenged my exam on Thursday at the AHEIA Edmonton location. I thought the volunteer(s) were excellent and also happily made a donation.

You should be able to challenge that course, Both my wife and I went that route and got our PAL for restricted firearms.
