Ice condtions

Dose anyone know what the ice is looking like in the rocky area?

My guess is pretty "watery" except on smaller ponds.

I drove by a few ponds ..... frozen ...... big water seems to still be open

Seen some pics that were taken earlier this week from Bwackwabbit's and my famous lake in the Caroline/Rocky area, known as "Troutville" .... still open water, and not just the aerator on the far end.

Ponds I'be inspected have ~3-5cm of ice on them right now. I'd wait till its at least 15-20cm.

Nice night of -15 and below in the north. Small lakes will be ready very soon.

Still heading out on Saturday to Caroline area to talk to the ice and let it know our dissapointment in it and how it needs to pull things together and harden up? I'll post my findings?

Bays on lakes in the north are frozen over, ice is starting to creep further out from shore. Was worried ice would be late this year but I think it'll be fine.
