Was this ever available in Canada and does anyone have one? I noticed it was recalled in the US. I like my Honda powered Strikemaster (aside from plastic part issues) and need a battery powered auger for the ice shack...not so sure about the Ion.

Ion seems to be proven, not sure why you are not sure.:)

Has not had any recalls and pretty good comments/praise from guys who have them on AO.

I bought one of the new 18 volt 1/2 inch Milwaukee fuel, drills with 1200 lbs torque and the new 5ah lithium batteries. Also bought a couple of adapters. Others have had excellent results with the older 750lb torque models so I'm pretty sure this will be a great combo. No fumes
