Saw a lot of these on the bottom of the lake the other day. I had my smelt sitting on the bottom and they attached themselves to the smelt Don't have clue what they are. Anybody know what they are? I was at Chestermere.

Thanks, I never before associated a caddis with a lake before, usually with river fishing. Pike were hungry yesterday, 2 of us iced 18, and the fish got 1 rod and reel.

the water comes from the bow river, taken off at the weir by the zoo

Looks like a cased caddis and I can say I've seen a few times a friend clean a whitefish and they were full to the gills of these ..I got a trout the other day that was full too
